The August 2026 issue of The Cooperator is available now. News and features from Tennessee agriculture and the Co-op community include:

  • A cover story that focuses on two producers who share their perspectives and anticipation for a successful 2026 crop year. United Co-op Director Drew Bailey of Alamo farms more than 8,000 acres in Crockett and Madison counties with his father, Steve, and Danny Morgan, a specialty crop producer from Rutledge in Grainger County who raises tomatoes and other specialty crops with plenty of help from his family.
  • A celebration at Weakley Farmers Cooperative in Martin as employees and customers alike commemorate the opening of the new Lincoln and Nash Mercantile on May 29 and 30. Customers, employees, board members, and community supporters gathered to mark the opening of the 11,000-square-foot retail showroom and community gathering space.
  • A grand opening of United Co-op’s 18,000-squarefoot Mt. Pleasant Feed Mill with an official ribbon-cutting event on May 27, marking a significant investment in agriculture, feed production, and service to producers across the region. The facility was made possible through the partnership of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s AgTrack Cost Share Program.
  • ​A spotlight on Ann Thomas Lowry of Dyersburg, who serves as the Tennessee 4-H State Council Vice President (2025-2026) and the 2026-2027 West Tennessee State Vice President for Tennessee FFA. She is also a 2026-2027 TFC scholarship winner.
